Overall, this wasn't a spectacular episode, but it wasn't really intended to be.  It was meant to set the stage for a killer 2-hour conclusion to the finale.  However, it did add a couple of new, intriguing plot points.  Foremost, Sun overtakes her father's company (that must have been one big settlement), apparently intent on ruining his life after her's was ruined by Jin being killed...by Mr. Paik and ???  A logical guess at this point would be Widmore, but perhaps we'll find out for sure in two weeks.  Plus, does this mean Jin's dead?  It sure seemed so.

Here are this week's LOST COW nominees:

There are definitely similarities between Mr. Paik's company logo and the Orchid station. Is this some kind of hint?

Here's a list of additional highlights from the episode:

There appeared to be an extra passenger in the back of the plane besides the O6.  There has been quite a bit of speculation on who this might be...one of the more popular theories being that it is Matthew Abaddon.  I believe, however, that this is just an additional crew member.  Check out the screencaps and you can clearly see that the earmuffed crew member was on the plane before the doors had opened, indicating he must have been on board the flight.  Also, it appears that you can see his headset in the shot of him sitting down on the plane.

The Oceanic 6 seem distraught over what happened to them in the process of getting off the island.  This should prove to be a great reveal in the conclusion of the finale.

Here's a collage of the maps that Oceanic used to explain the crash:

Ben is able to contact the Others through an old school mirror he had stashed away in a trunk.

Daniel knows all about the Orchid, and it scares him to the point that he wants off the island...immediately.

Sayid's reunion with Nadia was very touching.  With that being said, I realized how much I treasure Desmond and Penny because I was much more choked up during their phone reunion in The Constant than during Sayid and Nadia's in-person reunion.

Hugo's party had most of the true Easter Eggs from the episode, including the return of Geronimo Jackson among other things.

Hugo also brought about the return of the Numbers...poor Hugo.

Jack and Sawyer are forced to work together since Sawyer tells him he doesn't get to die alone.

Their encounter with Lapidus was worth a few laughs.
screencap

Carole Littleton's reveal to Jack that Claire is his sister.  I thought Matthew Fox did a good job with that scene.  He seemed truly shaken up, while trying to hold it together.

It was a bit heartbreaking to watch Carole comment about Aaron, her grandson, to fake mom Kate.

So it appears the freighter is laced with explosives.  I now feel that Keamy's device that was strapped to his arm last episode is going to be used to remotely destroy the freighter, not something on the island.  I'm not sure what his escape route is with no freighter, but the explosives on the boat make it pretty clear that it's meant to become nothing more than a vapor trail.

After being stashed away at the Temple all season, the Others flex their muscles to quickly disarm Kate and Sayid.

Ben enters hostile territory, but with a plan (of course).

Here are some additional sound files, including some audio of the whispering at the beginning of Hugo's surprise party. We couldn't make anything out of it, but have a listen and see what you think. Most likely it is just the friends/family whispering from outside, but we thought it sounded odd so we put it in here.

Right when Jin and Sun get on the Freighter, you hear Michael's voice, Jin and Sun turn to look, but I could NOT make out what Michael said. I think it's reversed. I replayed it several times and couldn't make anything out of it. I believe it was reversed.

Did you see a man in the plane with the Oceanic 6? The women of Oceanic greet him when she went to talk to the Oceanic. I think that he is Abadon.
What do you think? (excuse my English)

I ABSOLUTELY saw the person you are referring to. We tried to zoom and clarify but nothing. The Oceanic lady acknowledges the person just before she starts talking to Jack, etc. Then you get a distinct (male?) figure behind her while she's talking.
Is this just another crew member/red herring? He seemed to have headphones on...

A few seconds later when they are all getting out of the plane on the left of the screen is a bald male standing inside the plane- helping them out. He wasnt in the cockpit and im 99.9% sure this is the man she acknowledged. (at first i thought it was a bald male- maybe John Locke? then someone pointed out the bald crew member standing inside the plane.)

think about how bad Paik Industries is run when they sell off a controller interest in their company but the MAIN OWNER DOESNT KNOW ABOUT IT. why would they just let anyone buy a controlling interest in their company without major boardroom meetings, etc, etc, etc... who runs a business like that? a jack ass? or comic book writers? BOTH.

Paik Industries must be a publicly traded company. Sun used 5 accounts (from the other 5 O6 survivors settlement? Ben? Widmore?)to purchase the stock (she wouldnt have to buy more than 50% of the shares- just more than any 1 other individual- which most likely would be her father. She may have already been given some stock via her family as well).

The implication is that Paik has something to do with Jins death and possibly the wherabouts of the island and any survivors still there and that by gaining control of the company- Sun and her backers can find them/get answers or simply just revenge.

a controlling interest is more than 50% of a company's stock. if you only own more than anybody else but less than 50%, you don't control anything because the other owners can join together and outvote you. paik's evident surprise and frustration are believable to me, for exactly the reason you mentioned--it's hard to believe somebody pulling this off. but not impossible. if different accounts held by different corporations in different parts of the world made a complicated enough series of transactions, it's definitely imaginable that they could have flown under paik's radar. particularly if there was help from inside.
