We hate you too!
Was anyone else wondering what the hell this guy said to Kate as she walked into the courtroom? After playing the audio numerous times, I came up with nothing. But in true Lost fashion, there appears to be a message when played backwards. Check it out. He pretty clearly says "We hate you." Who is the "we" he is referring to? Might we see this ogre again?

Is it just me, or does the first word (in the reversed clip) still sound reversed? If you play the first word backwards, from the reversed clip, does that sound like anything?

I suspect that at the very beginning of the clip, it sounds like reverse because it was actually played forward in the original audio. I believe the "We Hate You" line is the only line that was reversed originally and hence, sounds forward when played in reverse.

True, but the weird thing is it sounds reversed in the original clip as well. Maybe they made it inaudible intentionally, or maybe it's just beyond our three dimensional comprehension ;P I don't put anything past this show

Hmmm - possibly an homage to The Beatles song #9 Dream - where played backwards "Number 9" becomes "Turn me on dead man". Soooo - is there a 9th Oceanic survivor - perhaps one that is hated - perhaps Ben is not known to be a survivor to the public and is survivor number nine???

The Beatles' song that says "Turn me on dead man" when is played backwards is "Revolution 9#"("White Album", 1968).
"#9 Dream" is a John Lennon's song from his 1974(or '75, I don't remember well...) Album "Wall & Bridges", when this song is played backward you can cleary hear "Joooohn...Joooohn!".

its me again, if you hear the record, it seems to be said "OOOOOOO WE HATE YOU."
WHY WILL BE HE SAYING "OOOOOOOO"?
IF YOU REPLACE THE OOOOOO WITH THE naOOOOmi, YOU CAN HEAR "NAAOOOOOOMI HATE YOU"

Hah you guys theorising about what this means backwards should consider the Judas Priest "backwards suicide messages" court case from back in the day. They played records backwards in court to show you could find almost any message in almost any song. There were "messages" about asking someone to get a peppermint and all kinds of stuff. Case dismissed...
